I'm back...with a Graduation card!

I know it's been over a week since I last posted but I have some very good reasons! Last week was quite an eventful week for us. It was my 4 year old's last week of school, the baby started crawling, my dear hubby was sick for a few days, I had to prepare for my Stamp Club and the craziness of the last month finally caught up to me in the form of strep throat :(

BUT I am back now...not completely myself, but close! In the midst of all the action, I did manage to work on a few things. I made the teachers some beautiful thank you cards and book marks (which I forgot to take pictures of...I've been doing this a lot lately!) I also made a graduation card for the son of a friend of mine who graduated from grade 6 and is moving on to intermediate school. My son absolutely adores him and thought it would be nice for us to make him a card and buy him a little something to put in it (he' s such a thoughtful 4 year old!).

Here is the card:

This owl was made with punches! Here is the list of punches used;

Scallop Circle Punch (109044)

1 3/4" Circle Punch (112004)

Round tab Punch (108340)

Small Tag Punch (108264)

Word Window Punch (105090)

5 Petal flower Punch (109041)

Boho Blossoms Punch (110711)

I have a lot to share with you in the next couple of days so make sure you come back! ;)

Congratulations Card

Today I am sharing a card that I made for a colleague of mine who is getting married in the fall. I wanted to make this card big enough so that all of us at work could sign it. I decided to make a Tag Accordion card.

Here is the front/back view

And the inside view

As you can see, there are 4 tags that you can pull. The tags are mostly Whisper White, except for some decorative details on the top and bottom of each. I wanted to make sure there would be enough space for people’s messages of congratulations to her. We all chipped in and got her a gift card which will be adhered to the fourth tag with a piece of sticky strip. You could make this into a small album by putting some pictures on the tags and on the inside of the card.

For the front of the card, I stamped the wedding cake image from Fast and Fun Notes (a must have set!) and used my blender pens and pastels to color it. I love how the colors are so soft!

I used some Baja Breeze and Regal Rose strips to make a weave pattern over my Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Supplies
Stamps: Fun & Fast Notes, Itty Bitty Buds (level2 Hostess set),
Felicitations (Sale-a-Bration rewards set)
Cardstock: Baja Breeze textured, Regal Rose, Basic Gray and Whisper White
Paper: Walk in the Park DSP,
Inks: Basic Black, Regal Rose and Baja Breeze
Accessories: Stampin’ Pastels, Blender Pens, daubers, silver brads, ¼” Whisper white grosgrain ribbon, 1” Baja Breeze double stitched ribbon, Ticket Corner Punch, Tag Corner Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, ¼” circle punch, paper piercer & mat pack, Big Shot, Ovals Die, Top Note Die, Snail adhesive, sticky strip, paper snips, paper cutter
Non SU: pink brad, 1” white grosgrain ribbon

Fun & Fast Notes (113500) $38.95

TIP: When mounting your Fun & Fast Notes stamp set, cut the sentiment and mount it separately from the image stamp (on the side of your block). That way, you can use any of the images, from this stamp set or another set, with any of these sentiments.

Father’s Day - Shirt and tie card

Here is another card that I made for Father’s Day. I used an origami fold for the tie. (the same one that I used on a card that I posted last week) This time I doubled the size. I made a different version of Amy Celona’s card where she used twill tape for the tie. Since I didn’t have any, I thought I would improvise.

No stamping here, just paper! I like how it turned out…

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bashful Blue cardstock, Washington Apple Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Bone Folder, Snail adhesive, sticky strip

This shirt would also look great in many other Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. Here are a few masculine patterns:

Earn a FREE stamp set and extra hostess benefits in June!

Good Saturday everyone!
The sun is shining here … it’s going to be a wonderful weekend!

Just a quick post...

Here is a card that I made for one of my hostesses to thank her for hosting a workshop. I used the Itty Bitty Buds stamp set (a level 2 hostess set that you can get for FREE when hosting a qualifying workshop). I love this set because the possibilities are endless.

I used Kiwi Kiss for the stems/leaves and Tangerine Tango and Riding Hood Red for the flowers. You can’t really see on this picture but I used dimensionals on some of the flowers. Some were stamped on the Whisper White cardstock and others were stamped on a piece of scrap and then cut out with my paper snips…love those scissors!!!

Here is a closer look…

Supplies
Stamps: Itty Bitty Buds (Level 2 Hostess set)
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red
Cardstock: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Dimensionals, paper snips, bouquet of buttons, 5/8” striped Riding Hood Red Grosgrain Ribbon.

And don't forget, this month there is a great promotion for hostesses! Click here for more details.

A Little Rock n' Roll...a little Pizzazz!

Today I am posting a card that I made for a friend’s birthday.

I love the combination of Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red. This makes for a simple card that packs a punch! Don’t you think?

First I inked the larger flower stamp, from the Petal Pizzazz set, in Pink Pirouette and before stamping it on my Whisper white cardstock, I "rocked" and "rolled" the edges in Riding Hood Red. The smaller flower was inked in Pink Pirouette only. I actually stamped a complete 8 ½” x 11 sheet so that I could cut the rest to size and use to make other cards. A sort of “one sheet wonder”!

Supplies
Stamps: Petal Pizzazz
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Accessories: 5/8” Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Button bouquet, Scallop Edge Punch, Snail adhesive, Bone folder

The stamps from the Petal Pizzazz set are great for the Rock n’ Roll technique because they are all big and bold.

Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red are part of the In Colors that are retiring on June 30th. To shop for retiring colors and products now, click here!

Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the sunshine!

Stampin’ Girls Convention – WOW swap

Last week I posted that it was a crazy busy week for me. I had a workshop, a stamp club to prepare for and I was working on my items for the WOW swap for the Stampin’ Girls Convention hosted by my upline Josee (it was great fun btw...and another perk of being a demonstrator!).

So what is a WOW swap!?! It’s an exchange of projects with other demonstrators. We had to make either a 3D project, a hostess gift...basically anything but a card, using current SU products that would WOW our fellow demonstrators. I received some REALLY COOL stuff! Today I thought I would post pictures of my WOW item. It was a lot of work but so much fun and totally worth it. I am quite happy with how they turned out and I got a few WOWS! :)

I made this cute box with 3 x 3 cards. It fits 4 cards and envelops but I only had time to make 3 cards. I made 40 of these… so 40 boxes and 120 cards! WOW right?

Here are the cards:

The Little Leaves in Kiwi Kiss & Basic Gray is definitely my favorite!
