This morning I am trying something different. I have been seeing all of these different color and sketch challenges on crafters blogs and decided today would be the day that I try one out! A little scary but I actually like what I came up with.
As I mentioned in my post on Friday, I absolutely love the new Animal Stories stamp set and the matching Tall Tales Designer Paper. I have been wanting to do a card with the cute whale and matching paper for weeks now! So what better then to use it for the Mojo Monday Challenge - Sketch 94...
I used So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and the new Bermuday Bay. I stamped the whale in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White cardstock. I wanted the whale to be floating in water so I took out my Big Shot and Scribbles die and cut 2 out of vellum cardstock. I cut all the "scribbles" apart. With my Bermuda Bay marker, I colored a little on one side, then flipped it over. I used my 2 way glue pen to glue the "waves" to the Whisper White cardstock and added a little glitter, using the glue pen as well. I then cut around my whale before gluing it to a piece of So Saffron. A piece of 1/4" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon hides all the little cut "tails" of the scribbles. It was then mounted on the piece of So Saffron using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Here is a closer look:
