What Kind of Demonstrator Would You Be?

Whether you want to purchase your own stamping supplies at a discount, to earn some extra money from your hobby, or to build a business, Stampin’ Up!® provides you with the opportunity to reach your goals.
There are all kinds of demonstrators, and Stampin’ Up! needs each of them! What kind of demonstrator would you be?

Discount Demonstrator:
You like the idea of buying stamps and supplies for your personal use at a 20 percent discount and occasionally selling to neighbours, relatives, friends, etc.

Seasonal Demonstrator:
You work hard for a short period of time or season to earn a specific amount of money or to achieve a specific goal, and then you maintain minimum orders and sales during the balance of the year.

Hobby Demonstrator:
You love doing workshops and earning extra money when it is convenient. You work a lot some months and very little
other months. You will do workshops if they are easy to book, and maybe have a regular group that meets together once a month. You enjoy the rewards that being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator brings, but you don’t plan to make Stampin’ Up! a career.

Career Demonstrator:
You view Stampin’ Up! as a viable business with long-term career potential. You pursue a management role, and you want to continue moving up with your Stampin’ Up! career. You love attending Stampin’ Up! events and have close relationships with other demonstrators. You work at your business in a consistent and outgoing manner.
As you can see, this is a fun, flexible business you can build to suit your individual needs and goals.

Inspired by Nature

Good Monday morning!

I don’t know about you but my weekend was crazy busy and this week will be no different! I have so many things going on this week but it’s all very exciting! I will have more details for you as the week progresses.

So, with that said, just a quick post this morning. I wanted to show you a card that I made for a workshop that I hosted at Judy’s last month. I love how the colors look together and this card is great for just about any occasion!
Here it is:

Recipe: Inspired by Nature stamp set, Riding Hood Red cardstock, Chocolate Chip cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Tangerine Tango cardstock, Red Riding Hood classic ink, Chocolate Chip classic ink, Close to Cocoa classic ink, 5/8” striped Riding Hood Red grosgrain ribbon, Big Shot die-cut machine, Top Note die, Beautiful Butterflies die, eyelet border punch, 2 way glue pen and dazzling diamonds glitter.

For the butterfly, I cut it out using the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies die and then sponged Red Riding Hood ink and Chocoloate Chip ink all around the edges. I then added glitter, to the edges, using the 2 way glue pen. Here is a closer look:

The Red Riding Hood and Tangerine Tango are part of the 2008-2009 In Colors. I plan on using the In Colors as much as possible in the coming month. All inks, card stock, and accessories featuring an In Color will retire on June 30th! If you love them, make sure you contact me to order them before they are gone. I know that I will be stocking up for sure!

Well that’s it for now! Will have lots to post this week so make sure you visit again!
Have a great sunny day everyone!

Stampers Club

Yesterday I posted a card that we made at one of my Stampers Technique Clubs. What is a Stampers Technique Club? Well, it’s a free technique night with friends while buying stamps on a budget!

Here is how it works;
As a member of a club with 6 participants, you agree to purchase a min. of $35 of Stampin’ Up! merchandise per month for six consecutive months. (The dollar value can change slightly based on the number of members who join.) Attend a free monthly stamp night at my house (or yours), to learn techniques and make 2 free projects!

Each month, one of the members is named the “hostess” and will receive at least…
*One Free level 1 hostess stamp set
*$20 of merchandise of your choice absolutely free
*AND a Free Catalogue!

Doesn’t that sound fun? If you live in the Ottawa area and are interested in joining a club, or establishing a club of your own, please contact me today.

Here is a preview of one of the cards that we will be making at my next Stampers club. We will be using the chalkboard technique.

Recipe: Inspired by Nature stamp set, Versamark™ pad, Stampin’ pastels, Pumpkin Pie cardstock, Old Olive cardstock, black cardstock, corner ticket punch, scallop oval punch, Pumkin Pie 1/2” grosgrain ribbon.

This technique consists of stamping your image with the Versamark ink on a dark cardstock. Using Qtips, you then apply the chalk (pastels) where you inked with the Versamark. This card takes about 5 minutes to make and it looks super cool!

Well that's it for now. I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow for my friend Erica. Gotta go make her a card! Baby cards are always so much fun to make!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Blog world here I come!

So here I am, finally part of the Blogger world! Can you believe it? I have been thinking about doing this for a while now but I really wanted to get my Stampin’ business on its feet first. Thank you to Melissa from GreenPixelDesigns.com for designing my blog banner, watermark and signature. And of course, a BIG thank you to all my friends and family for their support!

For my first posting, I thought I would show you one of the cards that we made at the April/May Stamp clubs. I found the tutorial for the paper dahlia fold on the Splitcoast Stampers website.
I think it’s so pretty! I used some of my favorite SU colors; Taken with Teal and Old Olive. The Designer Paper is a retired one called Petals and Paisleys.

Recipe: Old Olive cardstock, Taken with Teal cardstock, Petals and Paisleys DSP, Basic Black Stampin’ pad, Yummy Stamp set, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and Top Note Bigz Die, Non SU white grosgrain ribbon.

As some of my customers are “scrapbookers” as well as “card makers”, I decided to use the technique in a scrapbook layout as well. I have been wanting to scrapbook for years but for some odd reason, I was intimidated by it. With all of the inspiration that I get from my 2 beautiful boys I decided to tackle this silly fear of mine and so here it is…

…my first scrapbook layout! It turned out not too bad, if I do say so myself!
Now if I could only come up with a title! LOL

Recipe: Textured Kiwi Kiss 12x12 cardstock, Taken with Teal cardstock, Paper piercing tool, Petals and Paisleys DSP, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Little leaves sizzlits die, scallop edge punch, non SU white ribbon.

Want to try this technique out? Check out the tutorial at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/dahlia_fold/

And how about taking advantage of the great deal on Stampin’ Up Designer Series Paper - Buy 3, get 1 Free to create these beautiful paper dahlias! Click on the link at the top left of my blog for more details.

Well that’s it for now ! Hope you enjoyed my first post. I have lots more for you so make sure you come back!

Take care,
