Project of the Week: Gift Tins

Affordable tins can quickly become great packaging for smaller holiday gifts. These are magnetic spice tins repurposed for gift packing with a few little embellishments.

Stampin' Up Supply List

• Paper: Baja Breeze Cardstock (111352), Cane Candy Christmas Designer Series Paper (No longer available – any other paper will do!)
• Accessories: Glue Dots (103683), Sticky Strip (104294), Basic Rhinestones (119246), Victoria Crochet Trim (118481)
• Tools: Big Shot Die Cutting System (113439), Northern Frost Decorative Strip (120901), Snowflake Punch (119852)
• Other: Magnetic Spice Tin (from Big Box Store)

Step by Step Directions
Both of these tins had a magnet on the bottom which was quickly removed with some scissors.
Tin #1

1. Using Big Shot create snowflake from Baja Breeze cardstock.
2. Attach to top of tin with glue dot and top off with rhinestone.
3. Tie crochet trim around lid of tin.

Tin #2

1. Cut strip of Designer Series paper to fit on tin. Attach using sticky strip.
2. Punch snowflake from Baja Breeze, attach to lid with glue dot. Top off with a rhinestone.

Project of the Week: Vintage Holiday Scrapbook Page

It's always a good time to work on holiday-themed scrapbook pages! Whether you want to catch up on past years, or get a jump on this Christmas, Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper provides a great starting point for pages with a classic, vintage feel. Some simple crochet trim accents and basic pearls complete the page.

Step by Step Directions

1. Cut paper as follows:
   
1. Strip of "holly" designer series paper to 1 x 12
   
2. Strip of artichoke patterned piece to 2.5 x 12
   
3. Two Crumb Cake photo mats to 6.5 x 4.5
   
4. Always Artichoke for tag 4.5 x 2.5
   
2. Adhere holly strip of paper about 0.5 inches from top to 12x12 Cherry Cobbler base with SNAIL.
   
3. Adhere artichoke strip of paper about 1 inch from bottom of page; attach crochet trim with SNAIL along the bottom seam; add three pearls on right hand side on top of trim.
   
4. Add two Crumb Cake mats using SNAIL as shown in top half of page
   
5. To create tag, trim the two corners, add hole near top using Crop-A-Dile and run crochet trim through and knot it. Add to layout with SNAIL.
   
6. Stamp "Dec 25" in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla and punch out with Decorative Label Punch. Add to layout with Stampin' Dimensionals. Top off pearl at bottom of label.

Upcoming Classes Using All New Stampin' Up! Products

Hi folks! I am back from a very wonderful and relaxing week at the cottage with my family during what has been a record breaking scorching hot week here in Ottawa!  We were so happy to be by the lake.  I don't usually post pictures of my boys here but these are just too cute not to share;

While at the cottage, I took some 400 plus pictures so I really need to get going on some scrapbooking.  I will create a few pages with My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! and will post them soon.  Check back for those....

Having had some relaxing time away from my stamps, I am ready and eager to get stamping with all of you! I have just updated my class schedule for the months of July and August.  You can check it out all the details HERE.

Monthly Card Class
Thursday, July 15th, 7:30pm – 9pm - RSVP by July 12th
At this class, you’ll make 5 beautiful and simple cards with products from the new 2010-2011 catalogue!
COST: $15 for class or FREE with a $25 order placed that day.
(Demonstrators can attend for $10)

Birthday Card Stamp-a-stack
Wednesday, July 21st, 7:30pm – 9:30pm - RSVP by July 18th
Who doesn't need birthday cards? Get a jump start on your upcoming birthdays! In this class you will make 12 cards (3 each of 4 designs). There will also be other greetings available for your cards.
COST: $30 for class or FREE with a $50 order placed that day.
(Demonstrators can attend for $20)

Stamp of the Month Card Class

Tuesday, July 27th OR Thursday, August 12th, 7:30pm-9:30pm
RSVP by July 13th
Each month, a different featured stamp set will be used to make 4 beautiful cards. For the month of July, we will be using the Friends Never Fade stamp set. You will also receive half a pack of the Greenhouse Garden Designer Paper.
COST: Pay $40 for clear-mount* OR $45 for wood mount stamp set & class
              Pay $20 for the class only

*If you do not already own a clear block, I can order one for you at an additional cost of $11.50 + s/h & taxes


Please RSVP before July 13th to ensure that you receive your stamp set on time for the class. Payment must also be received by July 13th.
