Stampin' Up! Retiring Colors: Important News Update

Stampin' Up! Retiring Colors NEWS UPDATE:
(Please read carefully if you need to order retiring color products)

IMPORTANT DATES:
June 1 - Retiring colors available only “while supplies last”
June 1 - Last Chance list of stamp sets and accessories will be available
June 30 - Last day to order any retiring product (if not out-of-stock)

With Stampin’ Up!’s recent Color Renovation announcement, we have experienced a spike–much greater than anticipated–in demand for some of our retiring colors. Even with the most careful planning and all of the company’s forecasts from previous color transitions and current buying behaviors, the demand was greatly underestimated.

For re-inkers in retiring colors, as we run out, they will be placed on backorder status and those orders will be filled as quickly as we receive the product. We will continue to do this to the best of our ability through May, and then the re-inkers will be available while supplies last in June.

Card stock presents a bit larger problem, and because of this, textured paper may be substituted for some of the smooth colors–including card stock in 8-1/2″ x 11″ as well as 12″ x 12″–where the smooth is no longer available. You will notice these colors go on backorder, and we will be filling as many of those as possible with textured card stock. Because the demand for each color varies, we are unable to provide a list of what colors of card stock will be substituted with textured, or at what point that will happen. However, if you receive a package of card stock that is textured instead of smooth, there will be a sticker on the package indicating that change.

Stampin' Up! Colors to be Retiring on July 1st
Almost Amethyst, Apricot Appeal, Ballet Blue, Barely Banana, Blush Blossom, Bordering Blue, Brilliant Blue, Brocade Blue, Cameo Coral, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Gable Green, Glorious Green, Going Gray, Green Galore, Handsome Hunter, Lavender Lace, Lovely Lilac, Mellow Moss, Only Orange, Orchid Opulence, Pale Plum, Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Really Rust, Ruby Red, Sage Shadow, Summer Sun, Taken with Teal, YoYo Yellow.

We realize that this is an extraordinary situation, and we hope this will help you get retiring colors for as long as possible. Please keep in mind that an instance may arise where we are unable to fill orders on a specific product, and it will become unavailable before the end of May, but those cases should be minimal, and Stampin Up will communicate those situations as they may arise.

Thank you for your patience!

Stampin' Up! Color Renovation Coming soon!

Stampin' Up! announced that they would be making changes to their color families beginning with the release on July 1 of the 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

A total reorganization into 40 Stampin' Up! Core Colors in four color collection: Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles. There will be 10 colors in each collection!

I am so excited that Stampin’ Up! is bringing back some previous In Colors as part of the new Core Colors (past & present).
Here are the ones that made the cut: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Soft Suede, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi.

My favourite returning In Color!? Baja Breeze! What’s yours?

Here is a chart with the 4 Color Collections:
Brights Collection: Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Real Red

Subtles Collection: Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, So Saffron

See some new color names that you didn’t recognize on there? Well, that’s because Stampin’ Up! will also be introducing five new Core Colors: Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist

Also note that Kraft is being renamed Crumb Cake (now part of the Neutrals Collection) and will have a coordinating stamp pad and marker. Woohoo!!!
